Our affordable assisted living facility offers a continuum services and lifestyles that cover the gamut from fully independent living in the Rancho los Labradores villas, supplemented with a la carte services, to hospice palliative care, and everything in between.

Independent Living – Whether you own or lease a villa or you reside in the hotel, we offer a nice spectrum of a la carte (pop-up) services to help in any way you may wish.
Villas – People choose to own or lease a villa for a sense of more independence, with their own furnishings, a garden, carport and so on. A la carte
- Condos and Suites – Others may want a little less space, responsibility, and expense and would also like just a little more assistance may choose independent living within the Rancho los Labradores Hotel suites. These suites come in a number of configurations, all include a kitchenette. They are spacious and charming with the club house (Casa Club) and the café (El Café) located within a couple hundred feet. This serves as the perfect balance between fully independent living in a villa and assisted living within Cielito Lindo.
Cielito Lindo Senior Living – Residents within Cielito Lindo have access to all of the benefits made available within Rancho los Labradores. Most commonly people enjoy walks, the Casa Club grounds and larger swimming pools, and the social dining experience at El Café which seems to serve as the hub of the community.
- Assisted Living – Our amazingly affordable assisted living facility takes independent living one step further and adds any number of more personal and essential types of support. This would potentially include, assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, meal prep, exercise or physical therapy, entertainment activities, taking medications and even around the clock medical support. This sort of support would be selected when one is physically and/or mentally having challenges being able to fully care for themselves. This might be in the early stages of some sort of dementia or some sort of degenerative conditions such as Lou Gehrig’s Disease (ALS), Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Parkinson’s, a debilitating stroke, Rheumatoid Arthritis and so on.
- Memory Care – Memory care (Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia) is a specialized extension of assisted living that adds support and care specifically needed for those that have cognitive challenges such as Alzheimer’s Disease, Vascular Dementia, or even the sort of dementia that sometimes accompanies advanced age.
- Hospice – Hospice care is a special way of caring for people who are terminally ill and also providing support to their family. The primary purpose of hospice care is to manage pain and other symptoms during the last months of life where treatments focus on emotional and physical comfort rather than curing the underlying disease. Our hospice care is provided by a team of specially trained providers, including doctors, nurses, and possibly, social workers, counselors, and clergy. It is not uncommon for family to also be involved in the care. The resident is attended 24 by 7. Their bed is replaced by a hospital for better options in care and positioning the resident. Care is taken to prevent sores and this includes shifting position, sponge bathes and use of a special cushion that also help provide better air circulation. There is regular vital statistics checking every few hours. We use an IV for hydration and medication and oxygen is provided if needed. We honor the resident’s health care directive. Most importantly, we ensure that they feel loved and are not alone. And when the end is imminent, we bring in a priest or counselor according to the resident’s wishes.

By Design
Here is a little information on how we designed our facility to be ideally suited in offering the quality of life we are committed to provide for our residents within our assisted living facility.
Design Intent
Cielito Lindo’s architecture, materials and design are in keeping with the Spanish Colonial design employed throughout Rancho los Labradores.
Beyond the aesthetics, the facilities employ contemporary design concepts regarding the function, comfort and safety of the facilities. Zones exist to provide greater monitoring of those in memory care and more flexibility and freedom for those in assisted living.
The warmth and beauty of not only the architecture but also the materials make this a very pleasant place to live. Add in the gardens, pools, and all that Rancho los Labradores offers and it is hard not to call this a resort.
We are continually building new suites to keop up with the demand for our services.

Activities
We have two types of offsite activities, or field trips, that are tailored to the desires and capabilities of our residents. For those that are independent living, and are more lucid, higher energy and more ambulatory, we offer bigger and more adventurous excursions and lots of events like jazz, operatic and classical music performances, theatrical productions and movies. We also have regular excursions for those in assisted living and memory care, but they are safer, more controlled and better suited to individuals that are less able.
Additionally, we have onsite activities multiple times a week. Sometimes, these are in the form of a party or celebration, and other times, they include crafts that help to stimulate and sustain cognitive (spatial and instruction following) and digital dexterity (including scissors, markers, tape and glue assembly).
Diet
We offer 100’s of recipes, designed by our nutritionist in conjunction with our gerontologist to meet the specific dietary needs and preventative medicine goals for our residents plus specific adjustments as needed for residents with particular needs or desires. We use local foods (think farm to fork) and we adapt a lot of traditional flavors and recipes to be appropriate for our residents needs and tastes.
Meal time is also a great time for our residents to come together as a group and socialize with one another.
Cost for Care
Regardless of your needs, you will be pleasantly surprised to find just how affordable our assisted living services are, and yet there will be no sacrificing of quality. In fact, you will discover that the care, staff, facilities, grounds, services are both outstanding and infused with warmth, beauty and comfort . Typical costs are just $3,500 USD a month plus incidentals and other options. Most assisted living facilities refer to this as the base rent, but that term does not really reflect what we offer. Although our suites are spacious, warm and attractive, we prefer to think of our care services first, and oh by the way, that comes with a lovely private room and bath. Along those lines, the cost for our care services do not change if and when a resident progresses into memory care or hospice (a very big distinction from what you will find elsewhere).
